We’re a blog devoted to reviewing books. It is really pretty simple. The variety of topics, genres and mediums is intentionally wide. We want to encompass content for young and old, eccentric and main stream, short-form and long-form, graphic and textual. You get the picture. This is for folks who just love to read. Whether it is a classic piece of literary fiction, the latest bestseller from the mystery section, a long-form piece of journalism from a high-quality periodical, non-fiction political and social commentary, satire, SF/Fantasy, picture books we’re reading to our kids and grand kids, or the graphic novels to which our kids are turning us on; it is all fair game.
The writing team is relatively small, but our reading appetite is quite large! The readers/reviewers are a mother/son team who share a lifelong passion for reading instilled in us by our matriarch, a Scottish lady whose father gifted her a set of the complete works of Dickens when she was a wee lass in Glasgow. The legacy is strong among our family. We read for enjoyment, we read for knowledge, and we read for life! That last bit may be a bit dramatic, but it has a certain ring to it 😉
We’re kicking this thing off today, the first day of September 2020. It is a red-letter day for us, and we hope to bring our love of the written word to you on a regular basis. So, check back often and see what we’re up to. I’m pretty sure you are going to like what you see – there’s something for everyone.
Keep on reading!
